Why is your computer not stable?
What are spyware and adware?
Spyware: software that you run on your computer which tracks where you go on
the Internet so that this data can be then sold to marketing companies.
Adware: software that runs on your computer as a server and pulls in advertising
from other Internet servers. Adware is made obvious in the following forms:
- Popup windows even when you are not browsing the Internet. (Not all popup windows
are from adware however.)
- A "toolbar" in your Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer and other Windows
program windows.
- Your homepage (the first page you see when you open Internet Explorer) is all of a
sudden not what it was.
- Other "strange" things going on when browsing the Internet.
The intention of these programs is to make money by throwing advertisements up on your
screen.
Adware and Spyware make your computer unstable
So what's the big deal?
I've heard many times: "I don't care if others know where I go on the Internet!"
That's okay with me, too - but what is not okay is the fact that these programs are
using your computers at the same time you are trying to get production done. This means
that while your employees are busy creating spreadsheets, documents or whatever they do,
other programs are running in the background talking to computers on the Internet - AND
THESE PROGRAMS MAKE YOUR COMPUTERS UNSTABLE.
If you want to be able to get work done, you don't want adware or spyware running on
them.
Call us today and we will come right out and get rid of intrusive spyware and adware
so that your computers can be stable again.
